Co-Player of the Year: Emily Caswell, Caldwell

This is the second consecutive season that an athlete from Caldwell has earned an All-Met Player of the Year accolade, following the Cougars’ Jeanette Anderson in 2014.

A 6-1 senior forward from Wakefield, RI, Caswell --- who also was selected CACC player of the year --- averaged 20.8 points and 14.0 rebounds per game to lead the conference in both categories. She ranked second in Division II in rebounding, third nationally with 24 double-doubles and 10th in the NCAA in scoring. She scored the most points in a season at Caldwell (624) since 1991-92 and set a program record for rebounds in a season with 421.

Caswell led the Cougars to a 19-11 season and a share of the CACC North Division title. She scored a career-high 33 points vs. Georgian Court on Dec. 6, had two 22-rebound games and finished her career with 1,486 points and 929 rebounds to rank ninth and fourth, respectively, on Caldwell's all-time lists.

Co-Player of the Year: Madison Rowland, Queens

A 5-10 sophomore guard/forward from Albany, NY, Rowland --- who also was named East Coast Conference player of the year --- led the Knights (22-8), ECC and all of Division II in steals per game 4.3 (125 total) for the second straight season. She led all sophomores in the country in scoring and finished ninth overall in Division II with 20.9 ppg. She had 18 double-doubles (13th in the nation) and was ranked in the top four in the ECC in scoring, steals, rebounds (9.9 rpg) and assists (4.1 apg, 119 total).

Rowland was one of 13 players in Division II to post a triple-double. During the season, she scored 28 points in the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden. Named Most Outstanding Player of the ECC Championship after leading Queens to its second-ever conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth, she has amassed 1,159 career points, 504 rebounds and 247 steals in two seasons so far.

Coach of the year: Heather Jacobs, Adelphi

In her fifth season at the helm, Jacobs guided the Panthers (28-4) to a second straight NE-10 SW Division regular season title and the program’s first conference championship, earning a bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. Adelphi improved from single-digit wins four years ago to back-to-back 20-plus winning seasons and a second straight NCAA East regional berth. The Panthers spent most of season ranked in the top 10 of the USA Today Division II Women's Basketball Top 25 poll, reaching as high as No. 3. Adelphi was first in the NE-10 in points, field goals made, 3-point field goals made and steals per game.
