The All-Met First and Second Team players, coach and rookie of the year will be honored Tuesday, April 12, at the 83rd NIT/MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner at the Westchester Marriott, Tarrytown, NY.

Among her many accolades, Minato was named an Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention --- the first A-A honor in the 39-year history of West Point’s women’s program ---  as well as the Patriot League player of the year for a third straight season, All-Patriot first team for a fourth consecutive season, two-time WBCA All-Region I first team and to the All-Met First Team for a third straight year.

A 5-foot-8 senior guard from Huntington Beach, CA, Minato averaged a school and Patriot record 23.2 ppg (seventh-best in the nation) while scoring 743 points this past season. She also had 118 assists, 55 steals and 4.7 rpg. She shot 47.8% both from 3-point range and overall from the field, and nailed 87.3% FT. Minato finished her career with a Patriot League and Army school record 2,556 points, placing her fourth on the all-time Met area women’s scoring list, trailing only Carol Blazejowski of Montclair State (3,199 points), Sue Wicks of Rutgers (2,655) and Damika Martinez of Iona (2,581).

398Magarity, who also was tabbed as the MBWA Maggie Dixon Coach of the Year in 2007 --- the first year the award was named in memory of the late Army coach --- this past season guided the Black Knights to a 29-3 overall mark (a program record for victories), a 17-2 league record along with both the regular season and tournament titles, and an NCAA berth for the second time in the past three years. The 2015-16 season included a school-record 19-game winning streak capped by defeating Loyola in the Patriot tournament’s championship game.

In 33 seasons as a head coach, Magarity has amassed 511 victories, including 313 on the men’s side and 198 in 10 seasons at the Army women’s helm. In 2014, he became just the second coach to take both men’s and women’s teams to the NCAA Division I tournament, having previously reached the postseason with the Marist men in 1987.

Anyagaligbo, a 6-foot freshman forward from Miami, FL --- who also was named America East rookie of the year --- led the conference with 9.0 rpg and was second in FG shooting at 55.6%. She topped all AE freshmen with 10.1 ppg (No. 2 on her team), led the Seawolves with nine double-doubles, had 41 blocks and was named rookie of the week nine times (second most in conference history). During the season, Anyagaligbo notched single-game career highs of 23 points and 19 rebounds.
