A prolific scorer and rebounder, he averaged 19.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, along with shooting 52.4% from the field and 41.5% beyond the arc.
With 598 total points for the season, Green ranked first in the CACC in total rebounds (333), second in total points and 3-point shooting percentage, and sixth in scoring per game. He finished seventh in the nation in total rebounds and 10th in rebounds per game.
In his 25th season as head coach, Marquardt guided the Lions to a stunning improvement this past season, in which Molloy captured the program’s first East Coast Conference tournament championship and made the school’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. After finishing with a 9-21 overall record in 2017-18, Marquart’s team improved to 21-10 overall in 2018-19, posting a school record for victories, and registering a 14-4 ECC regular season record to finish third in the standings. In the ECC Tournament, the Lions defeated the District of Columbia in the quarterfinals, then upset St. Thomas Aquinas in the semifinals and defeated Bridgeport in the ECC championship game.
Marquadt, who played high school basketball at Xavier in New York City and at St. Joseph’s College in Maine, now has 285 victories as Molloy head coach. He lives in Belle Harbor, NY, with wife, Kathleen, and children Charles Jr. and Katie.
