LIU Post's Patterson Picked Player of the Year;
Lusk Repeats as Women's Div. II Coach of the Year
NEW YORK (April 23, 2019) – Sasha Patterson of LIU Post has been named the All-Met Division II women’s basketball Player of the Year by the Met Basketball Writers Association.
Kim Lusk of St. Thomas Aquinas, for the second consecutive season and third time overall, was selected Coach of the Year.

The All-Met players and coach will be honored Tuesday, April 30, at the 86th NIT/MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner at the Westchester Marriott, Tarrytown, NY.
A 5-foot-10 graduate forward from Brooklyn, NY, Patterson --- who also was selected East Coast Conference player of the year this season and was an All-Met First Team selection in 2018 --- averaged a double-double for the season with 15.5 pooints per game (third in the ECC) and 10.0 rebounds (No. 1 ECC, No. 37 nationally). She led the Pioneers and was second in the nation with 152 offensive rebounds, had 309 total rebounds, shot 55.1% from the floor and had 16 double-doubles (16th in the NCAA). For her career, she registered over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
In her 11th season at STAC, Lusk --- who also was named ECC coach of the year and previously was All-Met Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2018 --- guided the Lady Spartans to the regular season ECC title and a No. 1 seed in the conference tournament with a 17-1 East Coast record. STAC, which finished with a 26-5 overall record, received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, losing to eventual Sweet Sixteen qualifier LeMoyne. A graduate of Southern Connecticut State (1999), Lusk resides in West Nyack, NY, with husband, Jim, and four children (Madison, Kallie, Jackson, Justin).
