NEW YORK (Feb. 25, 2020) --- Courtney Warley of Manhattan in Division I, and Kadijah Dickson of Molloy and Fallyn Stephens of Adelphi as co-winners in Divisions II-III, have been named Women’s Players of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Assn.

The designations, for games played Feb. 17-23, are unique in that they encompass players from 71 Met area schools across Divisions I, II and III.

The MBWA has now concluded its Players of the Week program for the 2019-20 season.

A 6-3 junior center from West Chester, PA, Warley --- who also was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference player of the week --- posted a pair of 20-plus scoring games as the Jaspers (12-14) defeated Canisius 63-56 and Niagara 75-61 to notch a sweep on their annual Western New York trip. She averaged 22.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the two wins while shooting 70.8% (17-of-24) from the field.

Warley registered her sixth double-double of the season with a career-high 23 points and 12 rebounds against Canisius. She notched 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting along with six rebounds against Niagara.

A 5-8 graduate guard from Queens, NY, Dickson averaged 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in leading the Lions (18-8) to a 2-0 week.

She netted a game-high 23 points to go along with eight rebounds and three steals in a 71-55 triumph at Mercy. Next she posted her first career triple-double with a game-high 11 rebounds, a career-high 10 assists and 10 points in a 65-41 homecourt win over Bridgeport.

A 5-10 senior guard from Marion, Ohio, Stephens averaged 16.5 points and nailed a crucial 3-pointer as Division II’s 10th ranked Panthers (25-2) earned a pair of NE10 Conference victories. She posted 52.9% accuracy (9-of-17) from beyond the arc in a 63-59 overtime win at home over Pace and in a 66-52 victory at New Haven.

Stephens had 10 points but most importantly canned a 3-point game-tying shot with 36 seconds left in regulation against Pace, leading to overtime. She had a game-high 23 points against New Haven as Adelphi annexed the NE10’s Southwest Division title.
