At the time of his induction into the Seton Hall Athletics Hall of Fame, Griffin ranked 18th all-time in Seton Hall history with 1,414 career points as well as in the top 10 in rebounds, steals and field goal percentage.  Griffin guided his teams to the 1993 Big East Tournament championship and two NCAA Tournament appearances.

After going undrafted, Griffin worked his way up to the NBA by 1999 and has never looked back. He
went on to a successful NBA career with several teams over nine seasons. Immediately upon his retirement, he became an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2008. He has since continued as an assistant coach for several other teams before going north of the border in 2018 to the Toronto Raptors, winning his first NBA title after 20 years in the Association.
