Pace's Schetter Picks Up Women's Divs. II-III Player of the Week
 
NEW YORK (Dec. 14, 2021) --- Lauren Schetter of Pace has been named Women's Divisions II/III Player of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Association.
 
The designation, for games played Dec. 6-12, is unique in that it encompasses players from 48 Met area schools across Divisions II and III.
 
A 5-9 graduate student forward from Beacon, NY, Schetter led the Setters to a 3-0 stretch last week, all away games, improving their overall record to 8-1. She posted averages of 26.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
 
Schetter opened the week with 22 points and seven rebounds in a 70-61 triumph at Adelphi. She scored a career-high of 29 points each in back-to-back wins over Dominican (80-70) and St. Thomas Aquinas (71-47).
 
Schetter not only is leading the NE10 Conference in scoring this season with 23.1 ppg, she also is second in the nation in Division II points per game. Additionally, she is among the leaders nationally with 9.8 rebounds per game, and became just the eighth player in Pace history to register 100 career blocks.
