Felician's Lee Earns Women's Division II-III Player of the Week
NEW YORK (Dec. 7, 2021) ---
Briana Lee of Felician has been named Divisions II/III Women’s Players of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Association.
The designations, for games played Nov. 29-Dec. 5, are unique in that they encompass players from 69 Met area schools across Divisions I, II and III.
A 5-8 junior guard from Jersey City, NJ, Lee --- who also was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference player of the week --- averaged 22.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals last week as the Golden Falcons (3-4) defeated Bloomfield 69-63 at home and Dominican 77-75 on the road.
Lee registered 22 points and 21 rebounds against Bloomfield to become the first player in program history with more than one “20-20” game.
In posting 22 points along with nine rebounds against Dominican, she nailed a 3-point goal with 1:07 left in regulation to help complete a Felician comeback from an 18-point second-half deficit.
