The All-Met teams will be honored at the 89th MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner on Monday, April 25, at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, NY.  There are 36 colleges and universities under the Met Basketball Division III umbrella.

A 5-9 graduate student forward from Brooklyn, NY, Jemmott --- who was named the CUNYAC Player of the Year for a second consecutive season --- also was selected the CUNYAC Championship MVP for the third time, guiding BC to three conference titles in four years. Additionally, she was tabbed as a WBCA NCAA Division III All-America Honorable Mention for a third straight season.

During this past season, Jemmott became the Bulldogs all-time leading scorer, finishing her career with 1,688 points. She also surpassed 1,000 rebounds for her career (1,144), becoming just the fourth player in CUNYAC history to score more than 1,500 points and grab 1,000 rebounds.

Helping Brooklyn to the school’s first-ever victory in the NCAA Tournament, Jemmott averaged 26 points and 15 rebounds in two playoff games, including a 30-point, 22-rebound performance in the Bulldogs first round win over Emmanuel.

In her final collegiate campaign, Jemmott averaged 19.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

In her fourth season at the helm, NYU alum Meg Barber --- who also was named MBWA Coach of the Year in 2020 and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Division III Coach of the ear for this past season ---led a young Violets team (25-2 overall, 13-1 UAA) to one of the best campaigns in program history.

NYU won its first outright University Athletic Association title since 1997 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007 and sixth overall.

The Violets produced a high-intensity defense blended with a fast-paced offense that registered a single-season program record in team field goal accuracy (44.9%) and the second-highest scoring average ever (77.6 points). NYU opened the year with 14 straight victories and then followed with an 11-game winning streak after their lone regular season loss.

The Haggerty dinner is the longest running, media-managed college basketball awards program in the United States. 1024
