2013 MBWA WOMEN'S DIVISION II PLAYER OF THE YEAR


Danielle Wilson, Dowling

ECC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year; NCAA All Tournament team selection. NCAA Division II East Regional Most Outstanding Player after averaging 19.3 ppg and 16.7 rpg over three games to lift the Golden Lions to the East Region Championship and the program’s first ever berth in the Elite Eight en route to the NCAA Final Four championship game. Averaged a double-double on the season with averages of 17.2 ppg and 11.2 rpg (No.12 NCAA). Led ECC and ranked No. 6 in Division II in field goal percentage (.568).




2013 MBWA WOMEN'S DIVISION II COACH OF THE YEAR

Joe Pellicane, Dowling

Led the Golden Lions to its second straight ECC Regular Season and Postseason Championship. Dowling also earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Division II East Regional; captured the East Region championship; and set school and ECC history by advancing to the NCAA Final Four championship game. Posting a 30-4 overall record, Dowling trounced Augustana in the NCAA semifinals and then bowed to Ashland in the national championship contest. Dowling finished ranked No. 10 in the nation.
