Pace's Kealey Claims MBWA Men's Div. II/III Top Weekly Player to Tip-Off New Season

NEW YORK (Dec. 10, 2024) --- Jaden Kealey of Pace University has been named Divisions II/III Men’s Player of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Association.
 
The designation, for games played Dec. 2-8, is unique in that it encompasses players from 49 Met area schools across Divisions II and III.

A 6-5 junior forward from Center Moriches, NY, Kealey averaged 21.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in two homecourt Northeast 10 Conference victories last week for the undefeated Setters (9-0).
 
He posted a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds in an 86-69 win Wednesday over American International and followed that on Saturday with 18 points in an 80-68 triumph over Saint Michael’s.
 
Against American International, Kealey shot 78.6% (11-of-14) from the field, and against Saint Michael’s he drilled 70% (7-of-10) from the floor for a weekly field goal percentage of 75% (18-of-24). Overall this season, Kealey is 14th nationally in Division II shooting percentage at 66.3%, having nailed 63 of his 95 shots from the field.
