Brown (FDU) Brings in MBWA Women's Div. I Player of the Week Honors

NEW YORK (Feb. 18, 2025) ---  Teneisia Brown of Fairleigh Dickinson University has been named Division I Women’s Player of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Association. 
 
The designation, for games played Feb 10-16, is unique in that it encompasses players from 21 Met area Division I schools.
 
This is the first MBWA weekly award for Brown.

A 6-2 graduate center-forward from Montego Bay, Jamaica, Brown --- who was named the Northeast Conference co-player of the week --- helped the league-leading Knights (21-3, 11-0 NEC) secure a 74-70 triumph at Chicago State on Thursday and a 75-45 blast of LIU at home on Saturday.
 
Brown registered a pair of double-doubles to extend her double-double streak to four games as she averaged 19.5 points and 12.0 rebounds while FDU pushed its program-record winning streak to 14 games. She now has 10 double-doubles for the season.
 
Brown posted 16 points and 14 rebounds against Chicago State and then had 23 points and 10 rebounds against LIU.
 
Brown’s scoring in the LIU game carried her past 1,000 points for her collegiate career.
